Welcome to the new website for the Halfway House at Isfield, nestling just under the historic South Downs. You can find us on the A26 between Lewes and Uckfield, and we are within reach of all the attractions of East Sussex (and some in West Sussex too!) These include Michelham Priory, Charleston Farmhouse, the Long Man of Wilmington, Arlington Racetrack, the Bluebell Railway, East Sussex National Golf Course, numerous National Trust sites - too many to list here.

Nearby, the Lavender Line Preservation Society runs 600 yards of railway track as a memorial to the age of the Southern Region Railway. The line is named after the local coal merchant who used the line until it closed. Trains run on the line at weekends in the summer and a visit to the well preserved station and track should be put on your agenda.

Your hosts Jeff and Laura Dark, both Members of the British Innkeepers' Institute, are experienced publicans having worked in or owned the Highlands at Uckfield, Chalk Pit Inn at Offham, Newmarket Inn at Kingston, Bricklayers Arms in Chipstead, Lamb and Lark in Limington and Runt In Tun at Maynards Green. We look forward to welcoming you for a drink and/or a meal, but first please take a look at what we can offer you in the way of food, beers, wines and much more.
